The Essential Certified Lotion uses a brand new emulsifying system (Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Cetyl Palmitate and Palm Stearic Acid) that is accepted and approved natural. The emulsifying and the organic preservative system conforms with the Whole Food Premium list, are across all databases and the CIR panel rated as safe, and are approved for use in products certified by the on the Natural Products Association (NPA) and NSF made with organic standard. Ecocert has declared that the emulsifiers conform according to ecological and organic cosmetic standards. The emulsifiers are Ecocert certified as natural due to their natural origin and minimally invasive processing. The emulsifiers of vegetable origin and certified BSE-free and solvent free.

Directions for usage as facial lotion: Moisturize your face and neck every morning and night after you cleanse and tone. Always moisturize your face and neck in upward motions. Moisturizing is important for all skin types. In every step of skin care always use circular, upward motions with a gentle touch on your face. Don't help gravity by tugging down on your skin and remember that the skin on your face, especially around the eyes, is very delicate.
Directions for usage as body lotion: Apply to entire body as often as needed throughout the day to hydrate and nourish the skin. Pay special attention to hands, feet, elbows and any other area of your body that is prone to dry skin.
Scenting Directons: The products will require .5% to 3% essential oil depending on the essential oil. For instance, jasmine could be added at .5%, peppermint at 1% and most citrus essential oils at 2%. We recommend that you order samples and become familiar with these products prior to placing an order. The use of fragrance oil is not recommended for these products. Product Information: The preservative system is broad spectrum and stable, however the products do require special handling and packaging. Air and light can react with these products. We recommend that you package these products in tubes, airless pumps, bottles with pumps or treatment pumps that are opaque or darkly colored. It is also recommended that you scent and package the product all at once. The head space in a half full bulk container can cause discoloration and allow evaporation to change the consistency of the product.
The products also have a unique odor that comes from the preservative system, which can be masked with essential oils. All of the products are designed to be stable with only the addition of essential oils or fragrance oils. Adding herbs or other additives could compromise the preservative system. Color variation can be expected for this product line. The extract can cause color variations from batch to batch. We are doing everything we can to control variations as much as possible, however this is a completely natural product and natural variation cannot be controlled. All products should be stored in a cool dark place with stable and consistent temperature. Typical room temperature is 68-77 degree F (20-25 degrees C) which is the perfect storage temperature for cosmetics. When cosmetics of any kind are stored at higher temperatures the preservative system is significantly deteriorated.
