WHY USE AN HERBAL BODY WRAP? Body wrapping is a spa treatment using natural ingredients.
Our Herbal Body Wrap uses select herbs, minerals, clay and even coffee. Remember that your skin is the largest eliminative organ on your body so it is critical that you drink plenty of water during and after you wrap.
Body Wraps are most commonly done in series of two to six wraps at least 5 days apart from each other.
HOW TO USE AN BODY WRAP: Several hours before you are going to perform our Herbal Body Wrap add entire contents of package to one quart Crock Pot and fill with water. Allow to cook on Simmer for two to four hours. Variations: add ½ cup of sea salt to the mixture, but insure that your client consumes extra water. Strain out herbs and soak either pliable elastic bandages, cut up sheets or linens in the finished mixture for at least five to ten minutes.
Your client will need to be wearing either a bra and underwear, or appropriate spa attire. Explain to your client that the materials use will permanently discolor the garments that they are wearing. When you begin to wrap your client be certain to work fast and keep them warm. Start wrapping your client at the bottom of one leg. Once you've snuggly (but not too tight) wrapped an areas with one piece of material quickly cover the warm material with saran wrap or body wrap plastic. Thoroughly wrap one leg and move onto the other. Move up the body quickly insuring that you follow each piece of soaked material with plastic wrap to insure that you trap all heat in. This is most important for the comfort of your client. Wrap each arm separately and not as part of the overall upper body wrap to insure that all sides of the arm are in contact with the solution. Once your client is thoroughly wrapped aid them into a comfortable reclining chair or bed. Cover them in more blankets and wrap their feet once they are in position just like you did the rest of their body.
Allow your client to sweat it out for the next hour, but check on them to insure that they are comfortable and not experiencing any negative feelings. After one hour, swiftly remove all wrap and wipe them down thoroughly.
Caution: Do not use our Herbal Body Wrap on people who have any medical condition without consulting their physician. Do not use our Herbal Reduction Wrap on women who are pregnant or nursing. Be certain that your client does not have a condition that will be worsened with heat or herbs. It is critical that you insure that your client consumes plenty of water. Also, note that these herbs will discolor any linens that are used.
The average Body Wrap at most Spa's go for between $95 to $150 per wrap depending on the Spa.
