Features:
We take all the guess work of scenting with lavender essential oil out for you.  The Lavender Conditioner is lightly scented and soft.  We enhanced the formula with the moisturizing properties of rosehip oil, hydrolized wheat, vitamin B, kosher vegetable glycerin and distillates.  The pH of our conditioner compacts the cuticle layer of the hair, which will result in shiny, bouncy hair that is not weighed down.  One of the reasons that people complain about the way their hair feels when they use castile soap as a shampoo is because the pH is too high for hair proper care.  The alkaline solution of castile soap makes the cuticle cells swell up and get rougher.

Essential Wholesale has a good pH balance for shampoos and highly recommends following up with a light coating of conditioner to lower the pH of your hair even farther to leave your hair fresh, combable and increase the elasticity of the hair.  The active ingredients in conditioner leaves the hair feeling smooth, while leaving a "waxy" coating on the hair.  Conditioner helps with detangling because hair tangles when the cuticle layer of one hair catches on the cuticle layer of another hair.   The conditioning ingredients form a protective layer over the cortex where the cuticle cells have broken away, which creates a protective layer or coating over these rough edges.  The protective coating created with conditioner also seals in moisture and reduces static electricity.  On the reverse side you can over condition the hair making the waxy layers weighed down the hair leaving hair looking limp.  For best results do not put the conditioner on your scalp and living hair follicles, apply a small amount of conditioner along the length of your hair to the ends.

The Lavender Conditioner is able to tolerate more scenting if you would like.  It can be additionally scented at .25 - .5% with essential oils or fragrance oils.  We highly recommend that you scent any product at the lowest percentage first and increase as needed.  This will help you avoid thinning of the product and excessive scenting.  It is easier to add more scent if you need more, but impossible to remove scent without adding more product.

lavender and citrus conditioners February 20, 2008
Reviewer: Anonymous person from Cary, IL United States
I ordered several sample products from essential wholesale.  I plan to do a review on everything Ive tried.  With that being said I am going to give my personal profile.

I am a woman of color with natural unprocessed super thick super curly hair. Think Chaka Khan.  I also have sensitive skin that tends to be combination.

Lavender and Citrus Conditioners
I had to use both of these conditioners because my hair is just that thick.  I initially thought my hair would intimidate these products.  However that was not the case.  These conditioners worked into my hair very well considering how much hair I have.  In addition I could feel the shaft of my hair starting feel more  smooth as I continued to massage the conditioners in to my scalp.  I have used conditioners that worked the tangles out a bit more efficiently but overall this was a decent conditioner.  I would definitely use it again.
