What are your minimums & how long does it take?
We have one of the lowest minimums in the contract packaging and manufacturing industry on custom formulated products. Only 500 units on most items. Most competitor contract filling companies will require much larger minimums (5000+ units) but with us you can have what you want with a minimal investment. And our typical lead time is only 6 to 8 weeks depending on the job and it's parameters. Lead times can be longer for larger jobs and during the busy season.
How does this work?
We can create a custom formulated product or you can use one of our stock bases that we can scent, fill and label with your labels for that professional look. If you would like us to create a custom formulation or if you simply want to use one of our stock bases that we can scent and even color or add some extra ingredients then just let us know. We offer several options to fit any budget and our natural formulations are backed by our Minimum Shelf Life Guarantee. What about the packaging?
Our packaging abilities include almost any bottle or jar. Just send us a sample of your packaging, along with your Quote Forms from the Starter Pack, to see if it will qualify to be filled by our equipment. To help with your search for unique packaging options simply to go our Packaging page for a list of suppliers around the world. Once you have decided on the packaging for your project you can order your packaging and simply have it drop shipped directly to our warehouse.
Essential Wholesale & Labs can even offer you tube filling for that extra professional look. So if you don't want your product filled into bottles or jars, then using plastic tubes is another option. You can have your own tubes sent to us as long as they are in a size that our equipment can fill. Samples are required for testing before a quote can be offered. We recommend this option, if you are using a naturally preserved product to help avoid contamination. (Note: While we can fill and seal your tubes, we do not provide labeling on tubes.) We suggest that you have your tubes silk screened and we can help you get that done too. Our minimum to fill tubes are 1000 units.
How much does is cost?
The total estimated cost for your project can only be determined once we have all the details like the product(s) chosen plus packaging, quantity, labeling requirements, and finishing details. Customized ingredients will result in additional costs. Additionally, we do require that you obtain a pre-production sample of any customer product. What about labels and the legal stuff?

If you need to know the FDA's label requirements, see the CFR 701 for details. Labels and their content are your ultimate responsibility, but we are happy to review your label proofs at no charge to help you avoid any possible issues if we are filling your products for you. Just have your label printer email them to us for review prior to printing.
Note: We must already have a contract for work before we can offer this free service. We do not review non-client labels. Ultimate responsibility for label content is yours, be sure you are FDA compliant.
Where do I get labels done for my project?
Depending upon what you are looking for, our in-house Graphics Design Department can make it happen. We can have short or long run labels done for you at a competitive cost. If you are looking for other options, like POP Displays, Boxes, Brochures, Banners, Posters, CD's, and so much more, then contact our Graphic Department for details on how we might be able to help with your needs.
How long does a quote take?
Your general quote can take up to 10 business days to complete once we get all required information and can be emailed or faxed. (International Clients will only be emailed) Should you have additional questions about the quote, be sure to list those questions ahead of time so that we don't waste time getting you the information you need. The first quote is free, any additional quote due to changes may be billed at our regular rates. Reworking a quote several times due to indecision or lack of detailed information from you will result in delays of any project requests. If you do not reply to our queries about your quote request, we will file your request till we hear from you. Note that quotes are only good for 30 days, so if you are not ready to place your order you may want to delay the quote request. We would appreciate it.
What happens next?
Once you confirm your project details and send us a purchase order, we will email or fax you a contract with all the details so that there are no misunderstanding. We must receive this signed contract and any other required forms along with your down payment, as well as all the other items that you will be supplying before we will put your project on the production schedule. Our normal lead time is 6 - 12 weeks depending on the project and season but can be more or less depending on production scheduling issues, supplier delays, size of the job or other events outside of our control. Plan ahead. Note that poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on ours. While we will jump through every hoop you can throw at us, we are only human and can only fit so much in to a full day. Did I mention that you should plan ahead.
NOTE: Please do not request a quote if you are not going to be ready to start production within 30 days as the quotes are only good for 30 days. Having us spend time quoting and not doing the project will cause additional delays as we will need to completely re-quote your project. Plan ahead.
What about my privacy?
Essential Wholesale & Labs has done contract manufacturing and packaging for hundreds of companies around the world and we are very committed to our policy on privacy for our clients. We will sign an Confidentiality Agreement with all new clients. This Confidentiality Agreement should be sent to us before we issue any quote for any type of custom formulation or private labeling project. If you have additional documents that your company requires us to sign then we will need to review and approve those documents prior to starting your project.
Note: If your additional documents alter or change the intent of our agreement, then we will not be able to sign them.
