Aloe Butter Organic is obtained from the leaves of the sub-tropical plant, Aloe barbadentris. The plant grows in the sub-tropical climates of Latin America. The extract is food grade and complies with the USP Standard. The Aloe Vera extract contains 98% actives of which the Aloe polysaccharides are playing a major role.

Many of the medicinal effects of aloe leaf extracts have been attributed to the polysaccharides found in the inner leaf parenchymatous tissue, but it is believed that these biological activities should be assigned to a synergistic action of the compounds contained therein rather than a single chemical substance. Compounds such as anthraquinones/anthrones, chromones, enzymes, inorganic compounds, miscellaneous including organic compounds and lipids, proteins and vitamins.

Aloe Polysaccharides consists of linear (unbranched) chains of 0 1-4 linked glucose and mannose molecules: owing to the presence of these two simple hexose sugars, they are also called glucomannans, and because there is considerably more mannose than glucose present, they are sometimes called polymannans. These linear chains range from a few molecules to several thousand molecules. By convention, the lower limit is usually taken as a molecular weight of about 1,000 Daltons for the material to qualify as a polysaccharide.

This high-quality Aloe Vera extract has:
Highest retention of total polysaccharides from the leaf A strong, efficacious Molecular Weight Distribution (MWD). Color stability.

  • " I waited a whole month for this product to be back in stock , i really cant believe the price i was able to get 5 gallons or 35lbs for under $200 now you telling me i can only get 7lbs which is 112 oz's, what a disappointment . i guess i will never be ordering this product again EWL Response: As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we made a decision to shift away from Palm in as many of our products as we can. This butter, unlike the previous butter we offered, is both USDA Certified Organic and Palm free, both of which drive up our cost considerably. We are sorry this no longer meets your needs. "
