Formula: Product Weight x percent you are scenting at = amount of essential oil to add to your formulation.

Example: 104 oz. x .25% = 0.26 oz.

Package conducive to this luxurious cream's viscosity in a wide mouth jar, or a high-end aluminum cream tube, the possibilities are endless.

  • Phenoxyethanol for babies? seriously? - SEE EWL RESPONSE
  • " I've spent so many hours on this website but it's so hard to find anything without Phenoxyethanol. I know there're studies saying it's safe in lower concentrations but since it's present everywhere in everything we use daily, I wonder how safe it still can be considered... I wish you could offer more Phenoxyethanol free products here... EWL Response from our Chief Formulator: Hi there, thanks for your input. Yes, there is information out there stating that phenoxy might not be the best for babies, but we have yet to find a scientific based report stating that phenoxy 1% and under is anything but safer than no preservative at all. In the world of preservation, almost all synthetic ones are being vilified while natural or hurdled ones are tough to find in full broad spectrum. We continue to formulate and test products with other preservative options whilst also keeping the water activity low to prevent mold growth, but alas, Aspergillus Niger is a very common and easily growing fungus that can be detrimental especially to babies and those with weak immune systems. While many baby companies use gluconolactone & sodium benzoate as their preservation systems, we have found them to be a little harsh for such young skin. We currently have a wash that is in it’s 7th month of challenge/stability testing and so we should be able to release that before end of year. Thanks for your input, we appreciate hearing from everyone. "

  • Has the Phenoxy free product been released?
  • " I read a mention of body wash product being developed that will be free of Phenoxy. Has it been released? What is the name of the product? EWL Response: Hi there, yes! We have now released a Shampoo and Body Wash without phenoxyethanol. It is called "Probiotic Shampoo" and it is one of our favorites! We'd love to hear what you think. "
